ABCS WITH PEABE
OBJECTIVE
The initial purpose of this project was to just practice drawing and using comic characters as the subject. Soon enough I saw that I had drawn enough to do an alphabet and I made a small book.

WORK DONE
Client: Self
Role: Creative Direction & Illustration.
I love comic books and I grew up on Marvel, Image, and DC characters. Since I was drawing them all these characters anyway, I made a little full color book called the ABCs with Peabe. It was a fun exercise and introduction to print and book making.
PROCESS
The process was straight forward. This initially started as a fun side project and just a way to work on and speed up my "drawing chops." When I realized I had enough for an alphabet, I started looking into printing options. Keeping the square format kept things easy, especially since I was drawing these images on a square art board and at a fairly high resolution.
FINAL THOUGHTS
It was fun turning a side project into a physical book/zine. While it definitely helped me work on my drawing, taking this to print and production was a nice challenge I had not faced in some time.
