Finally Hip was a clothing line that I did with a business partner. The objective was to design clothes that I'd want to wear but also learn more about the production side of clothing.
Client: Finally Hip
Role: Creative Direction, Illustration, Production, Shipping, Working Booths, EVERYTHING.
There were SO many challenges with clothing. Finding manufacturers, prepping files for production outside of screen printing, creating tech packs, trying to learn patterns, tabling at events, quality control from different manufacturers, etc. Soooo much. We went from releasing individual tees to releasing fully themed packs (tees, jackets, sweaters, etc).
I loved doing Finally Hip. I think if I were to ever do a clothing line again, I'd do significantly less pieces. Focus on single high-quality pieces that someone would keep forever and potentially pass down.
