I've always wanted to do illustrations for games. Whether it be cards, boards, or video games, I wanted in. When I was approached to do some illustrations for a new card game, I jumped at the opportunity. I was commissioned to do two illustrations, one could be whatever I wanted while the other was to be chosen from a list of options.
For the first illustration, I decided to do a G'd up axolotl and from the list I chose to do a luchador (I ❤️ Lucha Libre). The only guardrails that existed were templates so that all the cards would line up, similar to play the Exquisite Corpse game.
I can't wait for this game to come out, in the meantime go follow the Kickstarter Campaign!
