This series started with a simple goal: build the Japanese cars I've always loved but never seen as official sets. We've gotten the Skyline and the Supra, but there's a whole generation of icons that deserve the Speed Champions treatment. Each build was either developed from scratch or reworked from an existing MOC until it matched the vision I had in my head.

Honda NSX (Acura NSX in the US)The NSX has always been a favorite — the silhouette is just perfect, and it looks like it would be an absolute blast to drive. I went with yellow to break from the sea of red NSXs out there. Monte Carlo Blue was a close contender, but Spa Yellow won out. Full disclosure: if it were entirely up to me, every car I owned would be some shade of aqua or Tiffany blue anyway. 😄

Nissan Silvia S13 (240SX in the US)This one comes with a story. My friend Eric was driving when he suddenly threw the car into a drift mid-turn. I was completely convinced we were about to slam into a row of parked cars — he pulled out of it perfectly and just kept driving, laughing the whole time, while I was quietly questioning my life choices. Ever since, drifting and the S13 have been permanently linked in my brain. The sticker sheet is intentionally minimal, but I added a few scratches as a nod to the drivers who wear their battle scars with pride.

Toyota bB (Scion xB in the US)This one's personal. The bB was the first car I ever bought with my own money, and it's what pulled me into the world of car modification and VIP Style (bippu). When it came out, that boxy silhouette felt genuinely funky and fresh — I had to have one. For the set, I wanted to do something a little different: the main build is the stock bB, but extra parts and stickers are included so you can convert it into a modified version. Think of it as a 2-in-1 Speed Champions set in the spirit of a Creator build. The souped-up version gets an aftermarket body kit, alternate stickers, and a hood ornament. Oh, and the minifigure? That's me. 😄
