I was priviledged enough to work with Presbyterian on anti-stigma commercials about polysubstance abuse. The message was to try and take away the stigma from someone suffering from polysubstance abuse, so that person might be more open to seeking help and not going further down a hole.

To be honest, I was feeling in a real low spot about my career and the type of work that I was doing at the time. I was hoping to work on something with a more positive and empathetic impact and this project came at the perfect time. On top of that, I wanted to work more with video and animation and I was tasked with handling character designs, backgrounds, and storyboards. I lucked out with this project and team.

We wanted to be able to tell a story with characters but wanted to be sensitive about not designing "human" characters as to not have someone feel singled-out. We wanted to design characters that did not look human but could portray an emotional spectrum. A character that one could feel empathetic towards and we feel we were able to acheive it with the cast we designed.

One of the best things about this project is how collaborative the team at Presbyterian are. We all contributed to the creative direction of this project and Joe did an amazing job with the animation AND voiceover. Multi-talented killer right there!
